homeschoolmom's review: "Kenneth A Daigler is a seasoned intelligence officer and not an academic historian, however his Spies, Patriots, and Traitors: American Intelligence in the Revolutionary War is an engaging piece of work. Many of the sources of the book have been previously examined and therefore would not provide any new information to a scholar of the subject. His writing however, is tidy and engaging...making it an enjoyable read for everyone. Daigler's experience as an intelligence officer does bring some new insight onto the topic. I wish however that he would have gone deeper into discussion on many of the topics. Each one probably could have been revisited as an entire book with the amount of material that is available. In all, it is a good overview of the topic."
